MEGA Baseball/Softball

MEGA baseball/softball is a recreational league that tries to emphasize good sportsmanship, quality instruction, and a relaxed atmosphere.  Grade level is determined by the 2023/24 school year.  Players will be placed on rosters only when the office has received his or her application and fee. As usual volunteer coaches are necessary for the league to be a success. All teams will play 6-10 games. Teams will need to have a minimum of 10 players on their roster. Limited equipment (helmets, catcher’s equipment etc.) will be available to the coaches with a deposit. We will try to keep the boys and girls separate for t-ball and machine pitch.  3rd-6th grades are usually have CoEd leagues.  

Games are played during the week and Saturdays.

Players should be no younger than 4 to play in the league.

Early Registration is Due by:  April 19, 2024

Divisions

  • PreK / K Baseball & Softball T-ball

  • 1st / 2nd Grade Baseball & Softball Machine Pitch

  • 3rd - 6th Grade CoEd Kid Pitch Baseball

Weather:  Baseball is played when it is hot.  Please have plenty of water for your player and cool towels available between innings. 

Rain/Tornadoes:  We will play if there is a light rain or if it is sprinkling.  If there is lightning in the area, play will be suspended for 30min after the first strike.  If it continues, play will be rescheduled for another day.  We do play if there is a tornado watch issued.  

We will keep the coaches updated and the Home page of the SportZone website will be updated as well.  If we have had significant rain during the day, we will have the website updated by 4pm for the status of that evening's games.

SportZone is teaming up with Smith Baseball Academy to provide Hitting, Pitching, Catching and Fielding instruction for both baseball and softball.

Baseball & Softball Training Schedule:  SBA Operates October through August.

Group Clinics/Camps will also be offered in Fall & Winter
